I have worked as a qualified garden designer since 2000, the past eighteen years in Wellington. I have dealt with windy, clay hillsides, seaside gardens, established traditional, and native bush gardens. I use NZ natives extensively but also like to work with ornamentals and plenty of colour.

Your garden design should reflect your own lifestyle. It should also relate to its surroundings, both natural and built. No two sites, or clients, are the same, and my designs vary accordingly.

No matter what type of site you have, there are plants that will flourish there. I create gardens with healthy plants that don’t need spraying, and that encourage insect and bird life.

Garden consultations.

Perhaps you just have a difficult corner of the garden where nothing seems to work. Or things are looking in need of a general makeover but you’re not sure where to start. I can spend an hour or two walking around with you, then create a plan of action with the design solutions and plant list you need. This can include sketches if necessary.

Garden Concept Plans. 

On a new or more complex site it’s sometimes better to get a full plan drawn up. This will be a scale drawing and can be used as a master plan that may be implemented in stages.
